The gallery runs as a venue for hire exhibition space. The gallery may be hired for periods of two, three or four week periods, with prices arranged on a weekly basis.

The gallery has three tiers of charges for use of the space :

  • Public Usage
Artists from the general public and groups may hire the space for the cost of $280 per week.
  • Subsidized usage
The Gallery management may invite particular groups to use the gallery space at a subsidized rate. This may include artists from within the community, Box Hill TAFE Students or others on application. Currently the cost for such exhibitions is $150 per week, plus 20% of any sales, capped to $280.
  • Community Usage
From time to time, the Church community may commission an exhibition reflecting an aspect of the work of the Church community. The arrangements for such exhibitions are to be negotiated with the management.

Fees for the gallery hire are to be paid two weeks from the date the invoice is issued (generally on or before the opening of the exhibition). A cheque or postal order should be made out to “Chapel on Station Gallery”. Eftpos may be used.

Due to the significant bank charges relating to EFTPOS transactions, there will be a 2% charge for EFTPOS sales over $2000

The gallery is considered a community gallery, and will not request commission from sales.

In the process of development of the gallery, exhibitors are invited to discuss this arrangement, with the potential to discuss ‘Commission on Sales’ exhibitions.
