FAMILY FRAMEWORKS!
Indeed, we live in an era of fluid family structures and complex social patterns. Pressures upon the family cause breakdown and anxiety.
Expectations of what the family should look like challenge us, and we get caught in mindsets that constrain and limit our experience. Blended families are common, same-sex families, extended families under one roof, single-person families. Considering the myriad of Family Frameworks is what we hope to explore in our 2012 community exhibition.
OPENING EVENT – 7pm THURSDAY 24 MAY… including a panel discussion with Deb Mountjoy, experienced family therapist, Ruth Barr, Family Services with Baptist Community Care, and Matt Cutler, minister with particular engagement with family systems and young people.
